LR Winds trumpeter and Arkadelphia native Amy Anderson Jackson has been a member of LR Winds since 2001. She is also a member of Mass Brass and Percussion and The Spirit of Arkadelphia Brass Quintet and subs with the Stardust Big Band in Hot Springs. In addition, she performs with the Winds of Praise, the church orchestra of First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia, where she is a member.
Jackson holds a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Education and a Master of Business Administration from Henderson State University. While at HSU, she studied trumpet with Dr. Jim Buckner and was a member of the Showband of Arkansas, NuFusion, and the Henderson State University Symphonic Band. She is a charter member of the International Women’s Brass Conference and is also a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
