Brian Trubitt

Tenor Saxophone

Brian Trubitt is the LR Winds tenor saxophonist, a position he has held since 2001. He plays several instruments as well as sings tenor.

 

Brian studied music at Indiana University and studied flute with Loretta Contino at Butler University. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and German from Oberlin College, where he also studied music in the Conservatory of Music. He received the Juris Doctor degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law, and practiced law in Chicago where he played with the Chicago Bar Association Symphony Orchestra. He also found time to train as a piano technician and has worked on many piano restorations.
