Micah Bowling, joined the Little Rock Wind Symphony oboe section in 2022. He is a woodwind specialist with many years of experience performing on all of the woodwind instruments. He has performed in various musical theater productions in Dallas, Houston, and New York City. He has performed with the South Arkansas Symphony, Longview Symphony, and Texarkana Symphony.
Micah received a Doctor of Musical Arts in Multiple Woodwind Performance from the University of North Texas, a Master of Music from Northwestern State University Louisiana, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of North Texas. His notable teachers include Kathleen Reynolds (bassoon), Dr. Charles Veazey (oboe), Dr. Mary Karen Clardy (flute), Daryl Coad (clarinet), and Dr. Eric Nestler (saxophone). He recently received an M.D. in Radiation Oncology from UAMS.
